There is no ‘I' in ‘Team', however the individuals within a team and their attitude all contribute. Motivation is something that within a team, if everyone has, can lead to great things. If employee engagement is at a positive high level then targets, goals and achievements are more plausible. Employee engagement is the level of interest that individuals take in their jobs, their emotional attachment to their vocation. Whether their interest positive or negative, high or low, it all affects the individual's performance within the work place as well as contributing to team moral. An "engaged employee" is one who is keen, eager and passionate about their work thus will work harder in order to further their organization.

Employee engagement is key to the success of any business. Motivated and knowledgeable staff will always drive productivity and drive a company forward. Staff that are aware of targets and goals know what they need to do in order to achieve, thus employees with a good engagement will work to meet and beat their targets set. The role of motivational management within business has never been more vital, as if everyone is singing off of the same hymn sheet, things always sound better. In football, teams that achieve great things are the teams where every player wants the same thing. Targets are motivation as one knows what to work towards but occasionally team members may need reminding, thus the role of motivational management.

By finding out what their clients want through customer research, a team can work out what is needed to be done in order to achieve this and to meet their customer requirements. Customer research is essential in achieving client/customer satisfaction and the additional and return of future business, thus creating a client base in order for business to achieve success.

The individuals or teams that achieve the most in life are the ones that are constantly motivated. The ones that know what they want and what they are working towards, whether it is goals, targets, or their own high standards. "Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men and men are great only if they are determined to be so" (Charles De Gaulle).
